For guests looking for the whole culinary experience, a visit to Otra Vez isn’t complete without a cocktail or two. We offer a variety of craft cocktails that pair perfectly with every meal, from fruity margaritas, to a Mexican-inspired mule, to our “220-Year-Old Fashioned”. A curated selection of draft beer, bottles, cans, and wine round out the options, ensuring that everyone has something to sip on, no matter your preference.
Blueberry Shrub Margarita
Our Blueberry Shrub Margarita has already become a favorite among our early guests. To make the shrub, we start with fresh blueberries that are soaked in a container of vinegar. After about three days, we release all the juices and warm the liquid in a saucepan with sugar until it’s reduced to a syrup. To serve, we mix the housemade syrup with El Jimador Blanco, fresh lime juice, and housemade triple sec. The result is a fruit-forward margarita that engages and satisfies all tastebuds.
Our Red Sangria is another trusty beverage option. We take red wine and mix it with brandy, pineapples, oranges, and apricots to make a refreshing and very fall-appropriate drink that’s lighter than a cocktail but still gets the job done. Our favorite part of the drink is the wine and brandy-soaked fruit that we get to snack on at the end!
Though it might look like one, the Michelada is not a Bloody Mary—though it is very similar. A Michelada is a very popular beer cocktail in Mexico. There are multiple variations of it, but we prepare ours with housemade Clamato (a commercial tomato juice flavored with sugar, spices, and dried clam broth), lime juice, Olancho, and Modello. Great for easy drinking during a lazy weekend lunch or dinner!
